The Parish council were sadden to hear of the death of Tony Kennett, Mr Kennett had served as a parish councilor, a minutes silence was held at the beginning of the November meeting and our condolences go to his family

After many months of waiting it had now been confirmed that planning has been granted for 4 Houses to be built at the rear of The Hope. The Parish Council has always objected to these plans and is seeking specialist advice as to how to proceed.

We have received mixed reviews about the new recycling system, if you are having difficulty putting your bins out please contact us and we will see if we can arrange help for you. if you have elderly neighbour lend a hand with the bins.

Finally please clear your bins off of footpaths as soon as they have been emptied and if your neighbours are out at work all day please put their bins back, so as to stop the footpaths being congested all Friday. Many thanks.

Next year is the Queens Diamond Jubilee; the Parish council would like to hear your ideas on how Lydden should celebrate this event
