Editorial
Dear Readers,
Here we are at the hectic time of the year, well for some of us that is! As we’ve enjoyed some late summer weather this year it seems as though December has leapt up from no-where and with Christmas just around the corner I’ve now gone into panic mode wondering how on earth I will get everything finished in time for the big day and I don’t know why I panic as everything always gets finished on time, somehow!
So, as this is to be our last issue of the year I would very much like to thank each and every one of you who have participated in making this year’s newsletter so enjoyable. Our regular article writers are second to none for giving up their free time to entertain us with their valuable knowledge and wit. We have our distributors who brave all types of weather conditions to make sure you all have a copy each month and I have to say I’m never short of a volunteer if I need one, yes our community spirit is not dead. And so I’d like to say thank you to Chris and Barry Beatty who have stepped in and taken over from Bob Winn who retired after 12 years of delivering last month, welcome to the team both of you. It’s so nice to know we live in a beautiful village with lovely generous people always willing to lend a hand.
Now just a reminder that there will not be a January issue but the newsletter will return to your doors in time for February. If anyone has anything they would like included then please make sure you get it to me no later than 15th January to avoid disappointment.
From myself and all at the newsletter,
We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year. |
